Vehicle booking platform Karhoo has partnered with French, state owned rail company SNFC to launch a new mobility platform.

The platform aims to bring door-to-door transport services to travellers across France and will be launched in 25 stations, with plans to be extended throughout 2019.

Karhoo has created the new platform so that travellers on SNFC’s high-speed trains are able to book first and last mile journeys by taxi or private hire vehicle.

The service will be called ‘Mon Chauffeur’ and will be available to all passengers from the 15th of May.

The announcement was made by co-CEOs Nicolas Andine and Boris Pilichowski at the Viva Technology conference, Paris.

Andine and Pilichowski said that by harnessing Karhoo’s real-time cost comparison platform and tapping into its extensive network of 150 fleets in France, SNCF will be able to provide customers with a selection of the best offers at the best price, calculated according to the route.

Boris Pilichowski, Co-CEO Karhoo said, ‘The Mon Chauffeur service marks a milestone moment for Karhoo and the mobility sector. Enabling door-to-door transport for SNCF customers takes us a step closer to a truly integrated network while improving the passenger experience tenfold.’
