Driverless technology and smart mobility solutions company EasyMile has announced that it has become the first autonomous vehicle company to obtain ISO 9001 for its quality management system.

The certification has been awarded to EasyMile by Bureau Veritas.

EasyMile said that the ISO 9001:2015 certification is a key first step to develop and to better structure it’s activities dedicated to autonomous mobility.

The ISO 9001 certification also demonstrates that the company is able to consistently deliver quality products and services that meet customers’ and regulatories’ requirements with continuous improvement.

Gilbert Gagnaire, Founder & CEO of EasyMile said, ‘The ISO 9001:2015 is a very important step for EasyMile towards worldwide Autonomous Transport System acceptance. This great achievement could not have been reached without the co-operation of all EasyMile staff and demonstrate the culture of excellence and professionalism of EasyMile.’

‘Our first priority is always to ensure safety for passengers and other road or site users. With this safety-first approach, EasyMile will then continue its search of excellence, focusing on both safety and client satisfaction, and integrating more demanding industry standards,’ added Gagnaire.

The certification scope includes all EasyMile’s activities; from the specifications of Autonomous Vehicle, software and system development, up to its deployment and support in the field. This certification also includes EasyMile’s activities with third party manufacturers aiming to reach autonomy with their platform thanks to EasyMile’s unique autonomous technology.
