The parking management specialist WPS has strengthened its commercial team with the appointment of Andrew Wheeler as Senior Business Development Manager for the South West and Wales.

Wheeler, who started his career as a graduate Project Manager for Sainsbury’s, has spent the last 10 years in the electronic and online payments industry. This includes seven years with NoteMachine, one of the largest cash machine networks in Europe, and more recently with DC Payments UK, the second largest ATM Group in the world.

Simon Jarvis, Managing Director of WPS, commented, “There is a natural synergy between payment technologies and parking, and Andrew’s technical knowledge, combined with his proven sales and marketing capabilities, will help make him an integral part of the successful WPS team.”

Wheeler added that he was delighted to be joining a firm with such exciting possibilities, “It is a company, an industry, and a technology that immediately appeals,” he said. “Customers and clients are increasingly looking for systems that are simple, reliable, and proven in field, and ParkAdvance from WPS is already a best-in-class parking solution.”
