The organisers of next month’s ITS World Congress in Melbourne have released their app.

By searching ITS 2016 in a user’s app store, they can download the app which has functionality to bookmark sessions, view speakers and the programme as well as connect in delegates.

Users of the HERE-supported software can, by using their congress registration number, access exclusive content for registered delegates and also book their demonstrations through the it.

The app also uses real world connectivity to offer origin-to-destination navigation and 3D mapping.

It’s part of the countdown to this year’s event which starts in less than three weeks’ time.

Remember, Smart Highways editor Paul Hutton will be in Melbourne reporting from the event on the Smart Highways website, and he is also the official podcast provider for World Congress 2016.   You can listen to the podcasts here, which feature interviews with organisers, exhibitors and speakers and are designed to be relevant to people who are in Melbourne and also those who can’t make it.  These podcasts are possible thanks to the sponsorship of Cubic Transportation SystemsMott MacDonaldPTV GroupSwarcoJenoptikXeroxMVIS/Bartco and GTT Global Traffic Technologies.
