Early bird registrations for the 25th ITS World Congress 2018 in Copenhagen this September have opened.
With the overall theme “ITS – Quality of Life”, Copenhagen is, say the organisers ERTICO – ITS Europe, an excellent venue because it is among the most liveable, healthy, and green capital cities in the world.
“The City has shown remarkable results working with urban development challenges in relation to the environment, traffic safety and congestion,” ERTICO say in a statement. “The driving ambition is to become the first carbon-neutral capital city by 2025. Therefore, the City of Copenhagen is active within green technology and innovation, such as making public transport more attractive and less polluting, as well as reducing travel time and stops for cyclists by using ITS solutions to prolong green lights.”
The ITS World Congress 2018 in Copenhagen will look at how the industry as a whole can contribute to a higher quality of life by improving liveability, making the surrounding environment greener and lowering congestion. Discussions will take place over five days from the 17 to 21 September, while exhibitors, demonstrators and technical tours will showcase ground-breaking results on how ITS solutions have a positive impact for all people.
