The compact Tesla Model 3 has been revealed as the most popular electric vehicle in the industry.
The electric car has also outsold all other EV’s sold in the U.S over the first six months of 2019.
According to Forbes data compiled by InsideEVs.com, 67,650 Model 3s were sold from January through June.
21,225 Model 3s were sold in June alone, reports Forbes.
InsideEVs.com states 106,864 full-electric vehicles were sold or leased in the U.S so far this year, a considerable increase from 2018’s 63,752 batter-driven cars.
Forbe’s attributes the increase in sales to the Tesla Model 3, which on its own accounts for 63 percent of all 2019 full-EV sales.
