Reporting from the ITS European Congress in Eindhoven, the Talking Transport podcast speaks to those who seek to include smart mobility into everyday life.

A new addition to the congress, a public open day was held the day before the event began. The Talking Transport podcast spoke to Jacob Bangsgaard, CEO of Ertico – ITS Europe about seeing members of the public interacting with all the good things that the industry is delivering. ‘It’s fantastic to get the opportunity to show what we do to the general public,’ said Bangsgaard.

The Mayor of Helmond, Elly Blanksm spoke about how the city strives to make sure it integrates smart mobility. ‘Helmond is a European front runner, we develop and implement intelligent transport systems and smart mobility,’ Blanksm proudly discussed.

And Talking Transport also spoke with Gert Blom, Chair of the National Host Committee, who was responsible for the public open day. ‘I can see that people are very interested and eager to see the demonstration and I think that it’s been a great success,’ Blom said.
