Engineering consulting company Sweco has entered into agreements to acquire three European companies, one of which has specialist competencies in areas including transport.
The company is preparing to acquire in Germany is Götzelmann + Partner, while the two companies it has agreed to buy in Belgium are Planet Engineering and Nexilis.
All three are in the civil engineering sector.
Planet Engineering is said to have “deep expertise” in structural engineering in concrete or steel for buildings, industrial construction and civil engineering.
Nexilis is an engineering consultancy focusing on building service systems and is best known for its participation in steering and advisory councils of Flemish and European research projects.

The Swedish company employs around 15,000 people and has revenue of almost 2 billion euros a year.
