Sunderland gateway project underway

Balfour Beatty has started work on an £11 million scheme to create a new gateway into Sunderland.

The works, which are being carried out on behalf of Sunderland city Council, focus on the upgrading of St Mary’s Way and Livingstone Road with wider footpaths, dedicated cycling facilities and other public realm improvements .
