Adam Street will lead Atkins highways and transportation asset solutions business.
Street has been appointed director of the business, which encompasses consultancy and technology capability as well as Atkins’ stake in the M25 operations and maintenance joint venture – Connect Plus Services.
Street joins Atkins from GE, where he was managing director of RailGrid and responsible for building a cross-business energy offering for GE’s global rail customers. He has worked closely with Network Rail, DfT and Atkins to raise awareness of the challenges, impact and opportunities of energy and energy infrastructure to senior rail stakeholders. Prior to this role he was managing director of GE’s UK rail signalling business
In his new role, Street will lead and develop the asset solutions business, which works with clients to manage their highway assets more effectively and efficiently against the conflicting demands of cost and capacity growth.
He will report to Philip Hoare, managing director of highways and transportation.
