SMART Highways magazine will be bringing its popular podcast series to the next ITS America Annual Meeting and Expo, taking place in Detroit in June.
Editor Paul Hutton will be at the Kobo Center talking to speakers, exhibitors and thought leaders and bringing you a real flavour of what’s being discussed and demonstrated in the capital of automotive innovation in America.
The podcasts are made possible thanks to the support of 3M.
Detroit last hosted a major ITS event when the World Congress was held at the same venue nearly four years ago.
Paul Hutton visited the city and surrounding area in the spring to visit its innovation centres including the American Center for Mobility and Mcity at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbour. He also took part in a conference on connected vehicles.
“The Detroit I saw in 2014 and the one I visited a couple of months ago are worlds apart,” he said. “They call it America’s Comeback City and I can concur that the way it had improved in the three and a half years since I was last there means I’m delighted to be heading back there. Thanks to our friends at 3M for making it possible, I look forward to seeing all the exciting innovations they’ll be showing.”
Paul recently interviewed Michigan’s Governor Rick Snyder (pictured), who features in the latest SMART Highways that will be available at the event.
