Siemens Mobility is to join transport policy-related projects on shared mobility and the decarbonisation of transport as a member of the International Transport Forum’s Corporate Partnership Board (CPB).
The ITF is an intergovernmental organisation acting as a think tank for member governments to facilitate better transport. The CPB is the ITF’s platform for engaging with the private sector and enrich global transport policy discussion with a business perspective.
Jochen Eickholt, CEO of Siemens Mobility, said, “We are very proud to join the ITF Corporate Partnership Board. It is a great opportunity to discuss with our peers the future of the transport industry. We know that our business bears a great responsibility towards the development of economies and societies all across the planet; and we’re looking forward to bringing our perspective to the table.”
José Viegas, Secretary-General of the ITF, added, “We are delighted to have Siemens join our Corporate Partnership Board. Siemens is a pioneer in many areas from infrastructure solutions to automation, innovative transport to software. The knowledge and know-how this great company will bring to our projects will be invaluable.”
