Siemens has released the latest hosted application module for its cloud-based strategic traffic management solution, Stratos.
According to David Pregon, Senior Product Manager (Systems), the latest release of the Stratos Traffic Signals module adds support for the Stratos Remote Monitoring with direct secured IP connectivity to the Stratos Outstation or ST950 controller, “Combined with support for existing UTC/SCOOT and RMS systems, the Traffic Signals module brings an all-new, easy to use, unified user experience allowing you to view all your systems together. This new product combination provides a smooth migration path from legacy dial up RMS fault monitoring to next generation secured IP fault monitoring in a single user interface,” he said
The company says installation is now easier with plug and play connectivity with built-in security features for communications between instation and outstation and user certification options for on-street access to outstation web pages, enabling enhanced audit logs of any changes made by users. It says new Stratos Outstation firmware and configuration data may be downloaded from the Stratos system reducing the need for costly site visits.
Live demonstrations of all available Stratos application modules will be presented by Siemens at Traffex 2017 in April at the NEC, Birmingham on stand C10 alongside a real-time service operations centre showcasing the company’s approach to integrated solutions for a sustainable, safe, clean, connected and efficient transport system.
At Traffex 2017, Siemens will also be unveiling a number of exciting new developments, in particular Plus+, a new generation of traffic controller and signals and Sicore II, an all-new class leading ANPR camera.
