Seven win £45m north-east highways work

A group of five north east councils have selected the contractors they will use to carry out highways planing and resurfacing work.

The £45m work package will be split between seven firms and covers work for Wakefield, Kirklees, Leeds, Bradford and Calderdale Councils.

  • Cemex UK
  • Manchester-based J Hopkins (Contractors)
  • Doncaster-based Sanmet
  • Scunthorpe-based Specialist Surfacing
  • Tarmac
  • Ossett-based Til-ex

The work packages cover provision of labour, plant and materials to carry out carriageway and footway surfacing works over the next four years.
