British traffic technology company Radix Traffic is launching plans to establish a European network of distributors at Intertraffic 2016 in Amsterdam next week.
It’s inviting established distributors with a proven track record in the traffic market to supply Radix vehicle detection sensors and interface cards as part of their product portfolios.
Head of Business Development Colin Baker explained, “Radix Traffic is looking to work with existing distributors with a good reputation in the marketplace for sales and service of traffic control products including vehicle detection technologies. As well as Europe, we are hoping to engage with potential distributors serving Asia, South America and the Gulf States as part of our business plans to increase sales of Radix vehicle detection sensors outside of the UK.”
Radix Traffic says more than 500 wired magnetometer sensors have been installed in the UK to provide “accurate vehicle detection with none of the reliability issues normally associated with inductive loops, radar or video detectors”.
It says its sensors, unlike conventional inductive loops, can be installed well below the road surface where they are protected from damage caused by bad weather and heavy traffic. Once the Radix sensor is installed it will continue to detect vehicles during its 15 year design life with no maintenance required.
Radix is at stand 11.127.
