Transport modelling company PTV Group has announced that the Canadian Capacity Guide (CCG) has been added to their traffic analysis software PTV Vistro.
The software tool is used by traffic engineers and planners to analyse traffic operations, evaluate the impacts of new developments construction and optimise signal timings and the company says that adding CCG, which is the industry-standard capacity assessment methodology in Canada for traffic analysis, has made the software “even more efficient for use by Canadian local and federal governments, as well as engineering consultants, for traffic analysis and planning”.
“Integrating CCG into PTV Vistro 6 was a great collaboration between PTV Group and the Canadian Institute of Transportation Engineers, which resulted in adding an analysis method that is specific to the Canadian market, to our complete traffic analysis software. The joint team are all very happy with the result and PTV looks forward to serving our Canadian customers long into the future,” said Alastair Evanson, PTV Vistro Solution Director.
The company is offering a free trial of the software.
