The preliminary conference programme for this year’s Highways SIB (Seeing is Believing) event has been released.
Visitors to the free to attend and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) accredited event will hear from Roads Minister, Andrew Jones MP, and from Highways England chief executive Jim O’Sullivan; get first-hand updates from the Transport Select Committee; join in lively debates on road worker safety, asset management, technology, the resilience of local roads and the future of HMEP; and so much more.
Couple this with an indoor exhibition featuring over 70 leading companies and organisations from within the highways industry, plus two full days’ worth of live, full-scale outdoor demonstrations and displays covering maintenance, safety, technology, lighting, signage and road markings. In addition, Highways SIB 2016 will incorporate a new, dedicated ‘Apprenticeship/skills’ zone.
Highways Magazine editor Alec Peachey said: “The team has worked hard to secure our best ever programme of speakers. Highways SIB (Seeing is Believing) is Europe’s only event for indoor showcasing of highway products as well as outdoor demonstrations and testing in all lighting conditions.
The event is taking place from 9-10 November 2016 at Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground in Leicestershire.
