TomTom has announced new services for several motor manufacturers – Peugeot Citroen, VW, Toyota and Fiat.
It’s launching PSA Peugeot Citroen’s new global infotainment platform, which it says is built on the full suite of TomTom products. This platform includes automotive-grade digital maps, TomTom’s navigation software “NavKit” and its live Traffic service.
The new system will be first available on the new DS5 as “DS Connect Nav”, then on the Citroen Space Tourer and the Peugeot Traveller. Additional models from all three brands will be rolled out later in the year.
And the company has also announced that from this June the new Volkswagen Up! will feature TomTom navigation. Drivers will access TomTom’s navigation via a smartphone App.
It has also announced that the new Fiat Tipo CinquePorte and Station Wagon, and the new Fiat 500S, presented in world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show, are available with a new version of TomTom’s connected navigation and the extension of Traffic and Local search to three years for the vast majority of the Toyota Europe vehicle range at no additional cost.
