Dynniq has appointed Tony O’Brien to be the new Managing Director for UK & Ireland, with the company saying it’s ready to make significant steps in the smart mobility market.

“With extensive knowledge about the Mobility and Energy market, he brings a wealth of international experience,” the company says it a statement, while O’Brien himself says, “I am excited to contribute to the further growth and development of Dynniq in the market of smart mobility solutions. Energising mobility means connecting and integrating innovative traffic systems. I fully endorse Dynniq’s mission to improve mobility and energy flows, in favour of road safety, sustainability and efficiency. As a company, we understand the dynamics of current mobility and energy flows and therefore we are able to improve existing issues, such as congestion and CO2 emissions. In practice, Dynniq has conducted its mission several times in the past year, inter alia through involvement in innovative projects such as Flourish, ACCRA and Capri.”

Dynniq says their current developments in smart mobility and energy will be accelerated in the short term, with O’Brien adding, “More and more products are being accessed and integrated via the Internet. This trend continues to accelerate within intelligent transportation systems such as: road-side systems, vehicles and traffic management systems. This means that these systems will become smarter: they get information about the world around them and can make better decisions based on it. Dynniq is closely involved in innovative pilots around autonomous driving, connected and cooperative vehicles and energy transition; pilots who prove the social relevance of technology and innovation. I am really looking forward to discuss the opportunities with our clients and other stakeholders”

Tony O’Brien has held a number of senior management roles, most recently as European Managing Director of Panasonic Systems & Solutions.
