Jersey hopes to ‘follow fast’ if driverless cars are introduced in the UK within the next few years, its Infrastructure Department has said.

The Jersey Evening Post reports that a spokeswoman for the island’s Department said they were “monitoring legislative developments” in the UK and across the world with regard to the introduction of the technology.

Jersey has around 350 miles of roads and a maximum speed of 40 mph.
