The first videos of papers presented at last month’s JCT Traffic Signals Symposium are now online for delegates and other interested transport professionals to watch, covering a range of innovative solutions.

The sessions at the popular event in Nottingham were recorded by SMART Highways as an additional benefit to those participating at the event.  The JCT Traffic Signals Symposium not only covers signals-related matters but wider ideas on managing traffic.

Over the next few weeks the majority of the sessions will be published.  The five available now are:

Doing more for a lot less: Effective Cost Saving Measures in Urban Traffic Control
Jackie Davies – Bristol City Council

The effect of minor traffic signals faults on congestion and emissions
Nick Warwick – Cumbria County Council

Lowestoft Bascule Bridge – Multiple Data Source & Control Strategy
Ian Caruana – Suffolk County Council

Smart Traffic – Big Data for Predictive Traffic Management Services
James Drinkall & Sandra Kamphuis, Sweco UK Ltd
