The head of the organising committee for the ITS European Congress in Glasgow says with more than 2,000 visitors expected this week, it is one of the most successful events of its kind ever put on.
Hamilton Purdie was speaking in the final minutes of set-up before it opens at 4pm (Monday 6 June).
He told Smart Highways editor Paul Hutton that the event is still open for registration so even if people are in their offices today, they are still welcome to register.
And with many sessions running together, he encourages people to download the congress app in order to customise your own particular programme to manage demonstrations and papers being given.
“Look at the Congress app, the electronics for the app has been linked to another application which tells delegates what’s happening in the city so if you want to take a few hours off from the congress you can go and see what the city has to offer”.

Paul Hutton is in Glasgow all week bringing news and interviews from the event, including many of Smart Highways Magazine’s exclusive audio interviews like this one.
