The Institute of Highway Engineers (IHE) is running a highway law course later this month.
The course covers principles and practice, in addition to giving practical examples of different problems that highway practitioners may experience in relation to the Highway Act and the Traffic Management Act.
The event is taking place at the IHE’s HQ in London on 23 October.
Legal agreements will also be discussed and delegates are welcome to bring their own issues for discussion if prior notification is given. A question and answer session will also be timetabled into the programme.
Paul Harris, the course tutor, is a specialist in highway law. With 30 years’ experience as a local government solicitor, and considerable experience in leading on highway schemes and development projects, for the last eight years he has worked in the private sector advising clients on highways and development matters.
