The first preview podcast for October’s ITS World Congress produced by Smart Highways editor Paul Hutton is online and available to listen to.

Hutton is producing four preview podcasts in the run-up to the event, ahead of four more daily shows every day at the Congress in Melbourne.

The first Countdown to Congress features ITS Australia’s CEO Susan Harris who previews the congress sessions, while Richard Harris of Xerox gives his views about one of the key subjects, Mobility as a Service.  There is another viewpoint on MaaS and the wider technology changes we are seeing from Steve Gooding, head of the RAC Foundation, with a warning for us not to get carried away.  And Swarco’s Richard Neumann explains what’s in it for businesses when they come to congress.

These podcasts are possible thanks to the sponsorship of Cubic Transportation SystemsMott MacDonald, PTV GroupSwarcoJenoptikXeroxMVIS/Bartco and GTT Global Traffic Technologies.  Remember Smart Highways will be posting regular news stories from the World Congress, in addition to Paul’s daily podcasts.
