Highways Magazine has launched a new look website.
The website has been completely redesigned and re-populated and includes a number of new features that allow for easier navigation.
New features include traffic and roadworks information, video content and a suppliers directory.
Most importantly, the website will continue to supply the industry with breaking news – both online and via our popular weekly news digest – Highways on Fridays. Our news section features a fully searchable archive back to 2011. This will provide an invaluable resource for anyone wanting to find out about industry developments. Just simply search by keyword. The back issue archive remains in place.
The new suppliers directory offers companies the opportunity to showcase their products and services to the industry. If you purchase an extended listing you will be able to include a company logo, a 300-word description, images, a video upload and contact information, in self editing categories which will appear on the site for a year. The directory is fully searchable by business sector (category) and company.
The traffic and roadworks information section provides visitors with the latest live updates from England, Scotland and Wales.
There are also videos showcasing our Highways Magazine Excellence Awards and Seeing is Believing events. As we move forward it is our intention to add more technically focused videos that will look at some of the processes involved in maintaining the UK’s road network.
Highways Magazine editor Alec Peachey said: “Although the original site has served us well for a considerable number of years, the way in which content is delivered is changing all the time, so we felt it was the right time to freshen things up.
“The website already attracts an impressive number of unique visitors every month and as part of our ongoing commitment to visibility and transparency it is intended to have the Highways Magazine website audited for traffic.
“Our new website offers improved functionality, design and navigation. With a number of exciting new features we feel the website offers a one stop shop for everyone involved in the industry.
“We would welcome your feedback on the new website, both positive and constructive, as it will help us to bring you exactly what you need in terms of information and updates. The website will continue to evolve so keep an eye out for exciting new developments including a recruitment section.”
