Global Traffic Technologies, (GTT) has appointed Aldridge Traffic Controllers (ATC) as its dealer for Australia, New Zealand and China, and will c0-exhibit at next week’s World Congress in Melbourne.

The two companies will host a live demonstration of GTT’s Opticom system, which provides public transport and emergency vehicles with priority at traffic signal intersections.

ATC is recognized as a leader in the provision of traffic management and signalling products and systems.  It is an authorised distributor of the SCATS Urban Traffic Management Control system, which can be integrated with GTT’s Opticom traffic signal priority solutions.

ATC designed and developed the latest SCATS traffic signal controller – ATSC4 – which is now controlling more than 3,500 intersections globally, with in excess of 700 intersections operating in China. GTT’s full Opticom and Canoga product lines will be available through ATC.

GTT is a global provider of priority control and traffic sensing systems, with thousands of implementations of its Opticom TSP and EVP solutions.  Opticom TSP provides buses and other public transport vehicles with the ability to request green lights at intersections, allowing for better schedule adherence and headway management, while Opticom EVP allows ambulances and other emergency vehicles to navigate congested intersections more effectively, resulting in improved response times and a reduction in accidents.  The Canoga Traffic Sensing Solution captures precise, real-time traffic data so traffic engineers can make faster, more accurate decisions to keep traffic moving smoothly on roadways.
