American automotive and energy company, Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk states in an interview that Tesla is less than 2 years away from full self-driving vehicles.

Musk spoke to MIT researcher Lex Fridman about how far ahead of other companies Tesla is when it comes to self-driving technology.

‘To me right now, this seems game, set, and match,’ Musk said. ‘I could be wrong, but it appears to be the case that Tesla is vastly ahead of everyone.’

Musk told Fridman that for around the next 6 months, Tesla drivers would still be driving with a steering wheel but continued to say that he’d be shocked if the driverless technology wasn’t implemented by the end of this year.

Tesla’s CEO also said that the companies self-driving technology will become so good that human interference would decrease safety.
