Singapore has reportedly received responses from several different companies offering to collaborate on its autonomous buses plan.

However, The Land Transport Authority and the Economic Development Board wouldn’t disclose which companies responded.

Bloomberg reports that the list of companies are likely to include Sinagpore Technologies Engineering, SMRT Corp., EasyMile, Nanyang Technological University and NuTonomy.

According to Bloomberg The Land Transport Authority and Economic Development Board said they are assessing the applications, without disclosing further details. The two boards may make an announcement later this month at the Intelligent Transport Systems World Congress in Singapore.

SMART Highways will also be at the 2019 Singapore ITS World Congress. Before it starts, why not listen to the second pre-congress Talking Transport podcast? It brings you a second scene-setter for Singapore talking platooning, mapping, mobility and the next generation. These podcasts are sponsored by AGD Systems, Cohda Wireless, HERE Technologies, Jenoptik, PTV Group, SWARCO and WSP. You can listen here.
