Dr Anne Kemp, Technical Director and Fellow at Atkins, has been made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list for services to Digital Construction Innovation.

Anne, who has led Atkins’ BIM strategy and development, was recognised for the role she has played in helping the UK understand how the construction and infrastructure sectors can adopt a digital approach to better design, build, operate, and integrate the built environment.

Anne said, ‘I’m so thrilled to receive this award and grateful to be working during a time when it’s widely accepted that we need a golden thread of information to help us create and run a built environment that supports a better quality of living for all of us.’

Anne has been with Atkins for 24 years, where she first introduced GIS to the business, and has acted as advisor to a wide range of clients including HS2 and Heathrow Airport. She is currently a part of the leadership for wider digital transformation of the Group, providing valuable insight into future direction for our delivery teams and our clients.
