Highways England is changing the way it charges fleets to use the Dartford Crossing after talks with the Association of Car Fleet Operators (ACFO).

BusinessCar.co.uk reports that ACFO complained that fleet managers have complained of an increase in administrative burden following the removal of toll booths and that the changes relate to vehicles, crossings, payments and statements.

The report says the changes allow easier searching of vehicles to find journey history, payments and the ability to download information.

It also says that further updates will include the ability to pay for crossings on a specific date and the removal of an advance warning letter currently issued to those who do not pay for the first time.
