The Association of Directors of Environment, Economy, Planning and Transport are supporting the adoption of the national platform for local roadworks by all highway authorities in England.

Tony Ciaburro, Director of Environment, Development & Transport at Northamptonshire and Chair of the ADEPT Transport group said: “There is an increasing public demand for improved information on road works and ADEPT recognises the importance of exploiting technology to allow access to this information to help make informed decisions on how, when and where to travel.

“Around 95% of road works are managed by Local Highway Authorities and for such a service to be fully effective, it really needs all Authorities to be engaged and ADEPT encourages this participation in what is a fully regulated, non-exclusive and free to join service.”
