APT Skidata  has won the contract to provide an integrated parking system at Hilton Worldwide’s new Heathrow Terminal 5 property.

The contract, awarded by car park operator NCP, will see APT Skidata install its Skidata APT450 parking technology.

The system is based on multiple ticket media allowing flexible parking for the hotel’s residents, conference attendees, and other visitors. The system will provide an open interface to ANPR e-ticketing, print at home 2-d barcode, and other emerging technologies.

Nigel Young of APT Skidata said: “As with any hotel serving an airport it is imperative that customers can park with ease whether they are using the hotel for business or leisure. But it is also important that parking is controlled, and not abused.

“We are pleased that Hilton customers, some of which will be business flyers, will benefit from the parking experience which has fast become the standard for airport parking, especially at Heathrow where many of the car parks use Skidata systems.”

The car park serving the hotel will have 580 spaces.
