APT Controls Ltd is changing its name to SWARCO UK Ltd from 1st June, four years after it was acquired by the Austrian company.
SWARCO say the decision is part of a wider initiative to deliver greater operational efficiencies and streamline services for customers by rationalising its legal entities across Europe.
Sean Dunstan, head of the company’s Parking and E-mobility division, says the new name is part of a logical progression, “By centralising Group services such as finance, IT and HR and consolidating investments in R&D and Health and Safety, we can ultimately offer a better service to our customers,” he explains. “We will also benefit from the SWARCO brand which is world-renowned for quality and excellence.”
SWARCO purchased 100% of the shares of the APT Group in May 2014. The two businesses have previously worked successfully together on a number of projects and proven the concept and the advantages of a combined offer to the market. SWARCO has been investing significantly in its parking and electro-mobility businesses in recent years.
SWARCO says that, while the APT Controls name will no longer exist, its Veri-park and eVolt divisions will remain as they are and be business as usual, as will its joint venture company, APT SkiData. SWARCO UK Ltd will remain a sister company to SWARCO Traffic Ltd, the specialist signs and traffic management business.
