The radar manufacturer AGD says the new products it is showing at Intertraffic Amsterdam are a response to requests from customers.

Its highlighting its three new radar, the 350 measures vehicle speed, angle and range for multi-lane environments, the 318 which differentiates between vehicles and bicycles and a low power 9 Volt radar which works within the sign rather than on the top of it.

“These are intelligent detection systems… which perform in the environment the client wants to deploy them,” Commercial Director Ian Hind explained to Smart Highways editor Paul Hutton.  “The learning process is about talking to customers and understanding how the radar performs in their environment and actually taking on board that feedback and crafting it within that engineering team to enhance the performance of the radar further.
